Fado music is part of the Portuguese soul and has been classified by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
It originated in taverns in the 18th century and is one of the greatest symbols of Portuguese culture. Accompanied by Portuguese guitar, with male and female voices, it is the very voice of the Portuguese people.

Fado in Porto is a unique Fado show in Porto - a way to see and hear live Fado in an emblematic venue with unique characteristics: the Cálem cellars are a historic place, where Port Wine is also an ‘artist’.

For those visiting the north of Portugal, it is unmissable to experience listening to Fado and tasting Cálem Port wines in the same place.

For 50 minutes, you can listen to this show of voices and guitars while savouring a taste of one of the most famous nectars in the world.
